Thirupaavai - Song -6
This is the first song in which Aandaal is waking up her friend
within her mind. At dawn, the white conch is blown in the Lord's
shrine. Even the birds have started singing in praise of him.
The conch is the symbol of ''DHARMA''. The only dharma in our
life is to realize the absolute truth. The conch lives in the
ocean. It is the lowest form of life. But the Lord has accepted
it and is always holding it in his sacred hand. The sound of the
conch is awakening our awareness.
We need to awaken our minds to realize the
absolute truth...Lord Vishnu. He is in cosmic sleep on his
serpent Aadhi.seshaa.
When he incarnated as
Krishna, he killed the demoness Bhoothanaa, by
suckling her breasts when she came to feed him. Aandaal is
longing for Krishna to have divine romance with her breasts, but
he never cares for them.
In spirituality, breasts are the symbol of
''physical ego''.
Krishna also killed the demon Sakataa.soora,
who came in the form of a cart wheel.
Here Aandaal is asking him to kill TIME, which
prolongs the separation.
Aandaal as Mother is showing the Lord as the
Universal Seed. All great devotees are meditating on this
absolute truth in different ways such as service, devotion,
discourses etc.
She clearly states that we marry to live a
spiritual life, to realize the absolute truth. Husband and wife
are Gurus to each other.
Aandaal wants to marry
Krishna
to merge with the Universal Seed like Radha.
In this song Aandaal is insisting on the
importance of chanting God's various names.
Each name of the Lord has its own vibration.
In this modern time it is very easy for us to listen to, sing
and chant his names.
The great poet Thiruvalluvar says that the
greatest wealth for a man is listening. Aandaal is asking her
mind to listen to the chants and spiritual lessons of gurus,
which will later bless us with the ultimate wealth.....Krishna.
This song is dedicated to Thiru.ma.lisai .aalwaar
a devotee {6.A.D} who was totally under yogic awareness.
Exercise: Observe your
actions, whether they satisfy your parents. Be very honest in
performing your actions between your lover, wife and parents.
