Thirupaavai - Song -14
In this song Aaandaal is teasing and making fun of her sleeping
friend who said that she would be the first one to join in the
rituals. Two flowers are mentioned here.
1.Seng.kalu.neer-------this flower blossoms
during sunrise.
2. Aambhal-------------this flower will
blossom only at nights when moon appears.
Aandaal says that the flower of wisdom has
blossomed when the sun [intellect] rises in our dark mind of
ignorance.
Many true devotees of the Lord had gathered
and started blowing the conch at the temple complex. They were
wearing pure saffron clothes. This colour indicates sacrifice
and service.
In our national flag this colour is placed at
the bottom, to say that the entire nation's development is based
on everybody's dedication, sacrifice and service to mankind.
The final everlasting bliss of spirituality is
service to mankind.
In Vaishnavism all Gurus has sought only the
pure, selfless KAINKARYAM...service to mankind from Lord.
We are here on this earth to serve others.
This service is the real spirit of being religious and spiritual
in life.
Exercise: Today is Saturday and tomorrow
is Sunday. Try to render at least a small service to your
locality or to somebody who is in need of your help.
