Thirupaavai - Song -11
Aandaal is asking her next friend to wake up. While she was
calling each one, people have got up from sleep and have started
their duties. Some of them were also looking for Aandaal and her
friends .So she is waking up her friend spiritually. This friend
is very rich with many healthy buffaloes and calves.
Again Sreerama avatharam has been remembered
here. Aandaal says that out of great anger the Lord killed the
king of Lanka to save all good people, devathaas and his wife
Sitha.
Here Rama is Paramathma. We are Sithadevi...the
jeeva. Our body is Lanka, which is the symbol of apparent truth
and our ego is Ravana. We are always under his control. But once
we get the awareness through our Guru, we need to seek the
Lord's help. The Lord will also help us overcome this world of
maaya.
Aandaal is stressing the importance of ’’RAMA
NAMA'' chanting. Among many thousands of names, Rama Nama is
considered to be very easy, very sacred. If we chant Rama nama
once it is equal to the 1000 names of Lord Vishnu.
Gurus insist that we write ''SREERAMA JEYAM''
on sheets of paper with pure devotion to the Lord. In our family
we are experiencing the power of Rama nama. We can put all the
notebooks, sheets with Rama Nama under our building foundation
to make the vaasthu perfect and more powerful.
Aandaal says that the milk is overflowing in
her friend's home even after the calves were fed by the mother
buffaloes. This is the symbolic expression of luxury. That
friend has been living a wealthy life. Now it is the time for
her to seek the spiritual bliss. Most of us are spending our
lifetime just in working hard to maintain our luxurious
lifestyle without spending enough time with our family. We must
be contented and start our spiritual life soon, because we do
not know when we will shed this body. This song is reminding the
y rich people to spend their money for the poor. The overflowing
milk is spoiling the floor of the friend's house. This is
telling us ,that the wealth which has not been properly used
will spoil the family. Money has to be earned properly, saved
for the future and also used for good purposes.
Aandaal is also giving another important
message - that when we change, everything around gets changed.
When one person is spiritually initiated, his entire surrounding
will be slowly changed .In this song Aandaal has mentioned that
many people have come out of their houses to join with her gang.
Today is Krishna Jayanthi; Aandaal has
inspired me to write about Rama Nama.
Exercise: find out within yourself whether you
are contented with whatever you have. List out 5 things which
you need more and ask why you need them?
Try to write ''SREERAMA JEYAM'' 51 times from
today.
